Experience the lost art of blacksmithing!
Join us for a three-hour hands-on introduction to "smithing" where you'll learn all the basics you need to get started in this truly fun and engaging hobby. After coffee and pastries, participants will be familiarized with the many tools of the trade and how to use them.
What you'll experience:

Work with both propane and coal forges

Learn to heat and shape various sizes and types of steel

Create your own small metal project to take home

Receive personalized guidance from an experienced blacksmith
Note: This is a beginner-focused workshop. It is NOT a knife-making course.

Safety requirements:

Snug-fitting leather work gloves (welder-type gloves preferred)

Steel-toed work boots (no exceptions)

Eye protection
-
No loose-fitting or highly flammable clothing

A signed liability waiver

Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the full duration of the workshop
Cost: 150$ per person
Class size: Limited to 6 people to ensure lots of time on the anvils
